Our Story

FROM SERVICE TO MAKING

After 12 years in the Air Force working operations, I transitioned into the tech world and now work as a Product Manager at one of the largest consumer electronics companies on the planet. But I’ve always been a builder at heart, and I needed something that was mine.

I bought my first 3D printer on a whim and immediately got hooked. What started as a hobby printing parts for friends quickly turned into something bigger. One printer became five. Five became ten. Now we’re running 21+ printers out of a heated pole barn in Findlay, Ohio, producing thousands of products a month.

MakeIt3D isn’t a side hustle anymore. It’s a full-scale manufacturing operation built from scratch, one layer at a time.

MEET EKO

No About Us page is complete without introducing the real boss. Eko is our 10-year-old red husky and the self-appointed CEO of MakeIt3D. We just work under him. He supervises every print run from his spot on the shop floor, taking quality control very seriously, mostly by napping through it.

If you ever visit for a local pickup, expect a tail wag and possibly an unsolicited inspection of your order before it leaves the building.
